Quencho Meter (Cooling Curve Method) - CX401
The Quenchometer is a PC based, completely automatic testing apparatus to determine the cooling characteristics of quenchant as per ASTM D 62001-1.The apparatus is operated from a host PC running our windows based dedicated software and is capable of monitoring/ displaying the cooling curve in REAL TIME apart from a host of other features as describe below. The building blocks of the apparatus are follows.

Salient features
- Realtime cooling curve
- Fully automatic
- Completely PC based operations
- Made as per ASTM D 6482 Section 7.4.1.1
- Capable of holding a temperature of 850 deg C +/- 2 deg C
- Customized reporting including Min/Max and average
- High accuracy
Computerized data acquisition system: The entire process is controlled by the host PC using the proprietary software.
Operations:
a) Host computer attached to the probe records the temperature of the probe during heating.
b) 2 mins after reaching 850 deg C, system prompts to transfer the probe to the quenching bath.
c) The temperature can be set to any other value as desired by the operator.
d) As soon as the probe is dipped into the Quenchant the data acquisition system starts data acquisition recording (temperature @1 deg C and time in 1 seconds).
e) After the temperature reaches 200 deg/100 deg C or as preset by the operator, data acquisition stops.
f) The operator may stop the data acquisition after the elapsed time of 60 seconds. The computer stops and end of experiment is displayed.

Two graphs are plotted on the screen, which can be printed on demand (The timer of the following graphs is derived from the host computer system clock). All the following graphs will have date, time, sample number, any modifications made in the test standard by the operator
Customized Reporting:
- Temperature v/s time graph.
- Temperature v/s cooling rate graph.
